How do I check a plumber's license?
Ask for the CSLB license number and look it up at cslb.ca.gov. The lookup shows status and classification.
Will a repair affect my heater or fixture warranty?
It can. Manufacturers set rules on installation and maintenance. Ask that the work follows those rules, and keep your receipts.
Should I replace the whole system because one fitting leaked?
Rarely. One failed connection says little about the rest. Ask for the specific cause in writing if anyone recommends larger work.
What if the leak is inside a wall or ceiling?
Shut off the water, then ask how the leak will be located and how much wall comes open. Drywall and paint are often a separate job.
Does my HOA need to be involved?
Interior plumbing usually isn't an HOA matter. Exterior work, shared lines or anything visible from the street may be, so check with your HOA.
How will I know the price before work starts?
Ask for a written estimate that names the work and parts. We don't quote prices on this preview site; the price depends on what we find.
